Educational Assessments – Child

The Learning Disorder Assessment for children is a comprehensive assessment that will give you valuable insight into your child’s intellectual strengths and difficulties. This assessment is suitable for children aged 6 to 16 years and assesses their development in the following areas: * Verbal comprehension skills * Visual/non-verbal intellectual skills * Memory and learning skills * Attention and information processing * Executive skills (such as problem-solving, planning, reasoning, impulse control, and organisation) * Academic skills (such as reading, comprehension, writing, math, and oral expression. The assessment consists of a parent-only interview and review of your child’s developmental and educational history as well as presenting concerns. Questionnaires completed by parents and teachers to provide further background to presenting concerns. Standardised test of your child’s cognitive skills (intelligence), academic skills and learning. Comprehensive feedback session to discuss the results of the assessment and answer all your questions. Detailed report of the findings of the assessment will be provided. How long does it take? 1. Parent-only session (50 mins) 2. Child cognitive assessment (2x 90 mins) 3. Feedback session (50 mins). ADHD assessment can also be included. Fees for this comprehensive assessment are $2500 and are payable at the time of assessment.

Educational Assessments – Adult

The Learning Disorder Assessment for adults is a comprehensive assessment that will give you valuable insight into your intellectual strengths and difficulties. This assessment is suitable for people aged 16 years and over and uses standardised testing to obtain an accurate profile of an individual's intellectual functioning, thinking, and reasoning skills, and cognitive strengths as well as their challenges. This assessment assesses the following areas: * Verbal comprehension skills * Visual/non-verbal intellectual skills * Memory and learning skills * Attention and information processing * Executive skills (such as problem-solving, planning, reasoning, impulse control, and organisation) * Academic skills (such as reading, comprehension, writing, math, and oral expression What is included in this Assessment? * An initial interview and review of your presenting concerns and personal history * Standardised testing of your cognitive skills (intelligence), academic skills and learning * Comprehensive feedback session to discuss the results of the assessment and answer all your questions Detailed report of the findings of the assessment will be provided at the feedback session. ADHD can also be assessed if requested. How long does it take? 1. Initial session (50 mins) 2. Cognitive assessment (2 x 90 mins) 3.
